3000 Series Aluminium Alloys
Aluminium alloyed with manganese with moderate strength and good corrosion resistance
Solitaire Impex offers a range of 3000 series aluminium alloys which are available ex-stock. 3000 series aluminium's primary alloying element is manganese. The alloys offer good corrosion resistance and moderate strength. The range of applications for the this range is diverse - from domestic kitchen equipment such as pots and pans to heat exchangers used in power plants. Our range of 3000 series aluminium alloys can be used at elevated temperatures and offers good formability.
The main alloying element of 3000 series commercial aluminium alloys is manganese and our range is generally non-heat treatable. Only a limited percentage of manganese can actually be added to the aluminium so this element is the main alloying element in only rare cases. 3003 aluminium alloy, for example, is a material used for general purpose in applications where good workability and moderate strength is required.
We stock a wide range of aluminium alloy products and 3000 series commercial aluminium alloys are no exception. Our stock range includes3003and3103which are available in sheet and sheet/plate form respectively. We also provide processing services available at our Head Office and local service centres which include guillotining and plate sawing, where your material is cut to individual sizes to suit your specific requirements. And for added peace of mind, all our stocked products carry a unique bar code for total traceability.
From storage tanks to chemical equipment, our alloys offer versatility and quality.
